Dragonfly native to Mexico spotted for first time in Rio Grande Valley http://apocadocs.com/s.pl?1213119502
Three types of dragonflies never seen before in the Valley made visits last week to Bentsen Rio Grande Valley State Park, headquarters of the World Birding Center.... Rose, who has a doctorate in dragonfly ecology, said he's not certain why the dragonflies have come this far north and west. One possibility is that they're drawn to the park's resacas, which have recently been filled with more water.
"Something funny is definitely going on here," he said, although he's not sure what it is.
